Westchester Home Magazine Kitchen of the Year!
I am pleased to announce that Susan Marocco Interiors has been awarded by Westchester Home Magazine the “Kitchen of The Year” for a project in Rye, New York.
You can see the judges’ comments below and some images of the winning design. (Click here to read the article online)
Custom Rift Sewn Oak cabinets were designed and a custom paint applied in a soft Strie pattern. Concrete counter tops added a contemporary feel. A light grey was used for the center island over the dark stained cabinetry and a darker grey concrete counter was used for the perimeter cabinets.
The client wanted a pop of red- so we had an auto body shop apply 16 coats of red paint to the new stainless steel hood – Voila – Red!
A 60” round oak table with a 24” diameter platinum finish lazy susan insert was purchased to fit within the newly created bay window. Eight red leather chairs complement the red hood
A butler’s pantry was also designed to house a subzero wine cooler, ice maker and sink.
We would like to thank Bill Lucia, President of Westhouse Development Corp., Anthony Maucieri Founder of East Hill Cabinetry, and Curtis Lew, Photographer. Without their collaboration Susan Marocco Interiors would not have won this award.
