Fun Ways to Utilize Your Unfinished Basement
Recently a client asked me to create a fun space that the entire family could enjoy. They wanted a room designed that would allow members of the family, both young and adult to enjoy their own activities, but within a short range of one another.
See how the room unfolded – Large surround sound TV viewing area, pool table, workout area, and arts & crafts.
An unfinished basement was designed and finished to accommodate the entire family for relaxation and fun.
A Stark carpet, Antillocarpa Silver, with a playful print was installed on floors and stairs leading up to the main floor of the home.
Comfy cognac leather sofas were situated for TV watching.
Exercise equipment faced the TV to make time on the treadmill or stairmaster go swifter.
A pool table in another corner added to the fun family activities.
The children’s arts & crafts center included the Land of Nod Parker Play table and chairs in red & blue.
Cabinetry with flush pull hardware on the doors was installed on the far wall to store children’s toys, books and games. All the possible clutter was hidden behind closed doors.
