From Drab to WOW
My client had lived in the home for a number of years, and it was time to renovate the kitchen. The existing kitchen was very traditional, with dark cabinets, granite counter tops and tile floor. Now they wanted something different, more contemporary.
We gutted the kitchen and changed the layout. A large bay window was added to give more space and add light.
Custom rift wood cabinets were designed and a custom paint applied in a soft strié pattern. Concrete counter tops added a contemporary feel. Concrete is very versatile, seams are reduced, color can be any paint choice and the material is very stain resistant with very little maintenance.
The client wanted a pop of red – so we had an auto body shop apply 16 coats of red paint to the new stainless steel hood – Voilà- Red!
A 60″ round oak table with a 24″ platinum finish lazy susan insert was purchased to fit within the newly created bay window. Eight red leather chairs complement the red hood.
A butler’s pantry area was also designed to house a sub-zero wine cooler, ice maker and sink.
