Exciting New Before and After Family Room
The picture moldings and crown moldings were removed.
Marble floor tile removed and wood plank flooring was installed.
An area rug was purchased to cover enough of the wood floor to create a comfortable floor play area for the children. Extra large pillows, which provided a pop of red, were placed on the floor to act as “chairs”.
Venetian plaster utilizing a horizontal pattern was applied to the walls. Comfortable sofas were purchased. A silver leaf glass coffee table provided storage underneath for books, magazines or games.
Swivel/rocking chairs allowed for either the option to turn and watch TV or join in on the main conversation area. An Art Deco credenza was purchased to house cable box and games.
To store the children’s toys, two ottomans were designed with child proof hinges.
All of the fabrics received a protective coat of Fiber Seal to ensure crayon marks and wine spills could easily be cleaned.
