Cooking with the Parisians
I recently had a wonderful opportunity to take a hands on cooking class in Paris. What a wonderful way to immerse yourself into their food and culture! My design inspiration comes from so many different area’s, and this was just one more.
A full days outing. First the small group of 8 met and was introduced to Frederic Pouillot, the owner and chef of LeFoodist.
The fun began as Fred took us on a walking tour of the food markets where he educated us on the different meanings of the labels on cheeses and how to purchase the freshest fish, produce and flowers.
Back at the cooking facility, Frederic shared with us some of the finer culinary “secrets” that make French cooking so divine – Butter of course! I also finally got the hang of rolling my wrist as I chopped scallions.
And of course, after all that hard work, enjoying the fruits of our labor.
