Twice a year the Interior Design community attends Market Week at the D&D building in NYC.

The D & D building is the famed 18 story building in New York City which houses 100’s of showrooms – furniture, fabrics, lighting, rugs, stone, & accessories for purchase “To the Trade”.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit with an interior designer, here’s a sneak peak of what’s new for Fall.

The Beacon Hill showroom was celebrating their 75th year in business.  Here’s a picture of their new fabric solids collection:

David Korins – set designer for Annie, The Sister’s Rosenweig and David Rockwell, set designer for Kinky Boots, Hairspray and Legally Blonde gave a lecture on how they make the stage come alive in their Broadway shows.

Attending Market Week at the D & D is always creatively inspiring.  The day is spent visiting the showrooms new furniture lines, latest fabric collections and lectures from some of the design legions.
