The 59th Annual Winter Antique Show will be held at the Park Avenue Armory in NYC, this year the show features a special loan exhibition from the Preservation Society of Newport. If you’ve always wanted to tour the mansions here’s your chance to get a glimpse. View some 60 treasures belonging to eight of Newport’s historic mansions including The Breakers, Marble House and The Elms.

  1. January 31st – 2:30pm “Masterpiece. Louis Comfort Tiffany & Stanford White creates a Newport room”: Learn from Caitlin Emery from the Newport Preservation Society, how L.C. Tiffany & White created the “new “eclectic aesthetic merging different aesthetics.
  2. Feb 1st –  2:30 pm “Designing for the Vanderbilts. French Interiors from Newport”: Paul Miller will retrace the steps that led to American Queen of Resorts to adopt Parisian Belle Epoque taste.
  3. Feb 2 nd 2:30pm  “Gilded Splendor. Preserving a Great Newport Room”: Charles Moore, Chief Conservator, The Preservation Society of Newport will talk about the Chinese lacquer panels found in the Breakfast room at The Elms.
